Grumpy Cat wins lifetime award

Despite being just one year old, internet sensation Grumpy Cat has won a prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

But from the scowling look on her face, you would never have guessed it.

Grumpy Cat - real name Tardar Sauce - was presented with the award at 'The Friskies' in New York.

The award was given to the seemingly moody feline for "doing the most to help cats take over the internet".

Grumpy Cat - known to her Arizona owners as Tardar Sauce - became an online star after her picture was posted on a social news website.

Soon, she had a manager, a Facebook page and her own Twitter account with 116,000 followers - and now she has launched her own book.
