GTA 6 Confirmed

We finally have confirmation that GTA 6 is being worked on by Rockstar Games. This may not seem like much for some but a lot of fans were extremely worried that R* was going to keep working on GTA 5 forever.



Is anyone else extremely excited?

Rockstar does awesome stuff. It will be interesting to see what they can do with GTA 6 on next gen consoles.

2023 is more likely. The chip shortages have impacted next gen console and PC graphics card sales. Rockstar knows they can take longer and reach a wider audience. Quality is far more important with this title also. GTA V was their cash cow for a decade.

The best we'll get this year is a trailer.

Trust me, this is the best we're getting this year. Unless they aim for some small scale release, the game is going to need a 5-7 year development.

I actually think 2023 is too soon as well because they will be releasing the E&E edition this year (well, next month). I would guess that we get a logo reveal near the end of the year. Then a trailer near the start of 2023 with a potential release date for late 2023. Which in typical Rockstar fashion gets delayed until 2024.

I'd be amazed and impressed if the game comes out in 2023, it does seem a bit too soon but i guess we don't know how long it's been in development for. Looking forward to it!
