I am about to cook one of these up soon.

Do you like ham?

How often do you eat it? On the holidays?

Here are some good leftover ham recipes: http://allrecipes.com/recipes/everyday-cooking/everyday-leftovers/ham/

Do you like ham? Yes.

How often do you eat it? Twice a year.

On the holidays? Yes. For Thanksgiving (along with Turkey) and Christmas.

This is only the second time I ever bought one. Last year me and the babe did a little Christmas celebration with the two of us and I bought a big expensive ham for dinner. It was good and I had leftovers for a week, so I decided to do it again this year. :)

Of course I'll buy ham sandwich meat and eat that throughout the year, but that's not really the same thing.

I've only ever eaten it this way. I've also never had a stuffed turkey before.

You are missing out!

Do they sell the ones with the glaze mix included? Or would you make that yourself?

For future reference...

The 'stuff' sold in the little plastic wrap packages in the grocery case with the hotdogs shouldn't be called "Ham".

THESE, on the other hand, ARE:

And yes, I have cooked both, and am planning on doing so again, and I am cooking a stuffed turkey this Wednesday for the rest of the family.

Here comes the ham snob! :P

Those look really good though!

Have you ever looked at the meat that comes out of the can?

Tell me, exactly what part of any sort of warm blooded animal looks like that?

Oh, did I ever tell you how to make a meat loaf using about half 'canned ham' (run through a food processor so it is in small bits) and half ground beef? Then mix as you would with eggs and onions and form into a loaf, then bake as normal.

You can call it "ham loaf" instead of meatloaf, and you do not need to add any salt to it.

The canned hams from Big Lots and other discounters when on special are good for that. (and not much else)

Oh, and you can use "treat" or any of the other 'spam' clones for your ham loaf.

Or fry slices and serve with an egg and cheese on toast.

Or dice it up and cook with some shredded potatoes and onions.

Or grind it up and make """ham""" salad out of it with mayo and relish and all that.
