Renowned Sony-owned developer Naughty Dog, known for the Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter, Uncharted, and The Last of Us franchises, turns 30 years old this month. To celebrate, the studio will put its art on display at a gallery in southern California for all to see during its two-week event starting this month.

The exhibit, called "A Tribute to Naughty Dog: 30th Anniversary," will be available to see at the Gallery Nucleus in Alhambra, Calif., which is about 25 miles east of Naughty Dog's office in Santa Monica. The Naughty Dog gallery will be on display September 27-October 12.

Special events are planned for the premiere on September 27. Attendance is free, and the first 30 people will receive a limited edition anniversary pin. Naughty Dog artists will also be in attendance at the event, and they'll draw your favorite character. Free drinks, a food truck, and photo opportunities are also lined up for the special event.

I just wanted to pay tribute to one of my favorite game devs! I started with Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter, and have been a huge fan of theirs ever since. Their latest release, The Last of Us, jut blew me away. I can hardly wait for Uncharted 4, which still doesn't have a release date. Here's to 30 more years!

I've been a fan of Naughty Dog for a long time, having enjoyed (and still do enjoy) every game made by them. One of my childhood memories is playing Crash Bandicoot. Thank you for sharing this!

You're welcome! I just can't really think of any developer I've been so pleased with, even after the 20 or so years I've been playing their games so faithfully. When I was much younger playing Crash and J&D, I didn't really know who had made the games because I didn't pay attention to that stuff. But now that I'm older and I can appreciate the people putting in the time, effort, sweat, and tears who put out such solid, quality games.

I have yet to play Uncharted 2.. I had bought the original, and when I got a new PS3 for Christmas, I got the Uncharted 3 bundle.

I have to say Uncharted 2 is the best. I started off with 1 when I got my PS3. I think I remember having seen the commercials before I even got one, and I asked my friend to recommend me a game. Went into not knowing much of what it was about, but I fell in love with the series and it's one of my all-time favorites. :3 I really do hope that we get a release date for UC4 soon. I don't know if I want to wait for next E3 to hear that it's coming out in October/November like it usually does. T_T

I remember playing Jak & Daxter on an old PS2 demo disk.. Still have that disk actually, and Jak X: Combat Racing.

Finally completed Uncharted: Drake's Fortune tonight. Incredible game.. I really loved it! Now, I need to purchase Uncharted 2.

youll love UC2 bro. The artwork in the series is amazing. Really detailed

I think the characters are fleshed out even better in the second one. It's the best one IMO, but I'm hoping the 4th one will change that. :3

Great to hear! I'll try to get my hands on a copy.

What are you guys thoughts on The Last of Us?

Personally i didnt like it. Besides fighting off the clickers and blood thirsty gangs..and the well detailed artwork..i t didnt create an attachment to me
you on the otherhand might like it:!:

I love The Last of Us, not because of the gameplay but because of the atmosphere, the characters, and the raw emotion each voice actor put into their role that made them feel more like human beings than just a bunch of pixels on a screen. Seriously, that game is amazing, although I know it's not for everyone. I'm not going to claim it's the perfect game ever. It's got its downfalls. But overall, it is a beautiful piece of work that I enjoyed playing 10+ times from beginning to end.

screenshots!

https://twitter.com/hyperminimalism My twitter account has some screenshots taken during the game with Photo Mode on the PS4. Check it out! :D

i envy your ps4 dammit. :inlove: great screenshots!

I had to get the PS4 version of TLoU considering there was a significant difference in the graphics both in gameplay and cinematics. Plus, the game is just amazing! And the addition of Photo Mode made it extremely fun trying to get the best picture. I probably spent more time taking pictures than I did beating the game for the nth time.

All newer games should have photo mode.be it for ps3 or ps4. I wouldnt mind sharing my screenshots

tell me this, should i get tlou left behind game?

I liked it. It's not just about Ellie and Riley, but what happens to Nebulousl when **SPOILERS FOR THE GAME, DO NOT CLICK IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED (I WARNED YOU)** xD:
he gets impaled by the rebar when falling from the second story in the university building
. It's actually very interesting and helps to carry on the bonding between Nebulousl and Ellie,
even if he is unconscious and suffering from a very serious wound. You can tell just how much she cares for him and the lengths she'll go to save him.

Anonymoose said:
i saw that scene..it was intense as she tried to hoist him upright to walk..heading for the exit and encountering more bad guys

It was a very powerful scene, especially when they finally get outside and onto the horse. And then when Nebulousl can't hold himself up any longer, falls off the horse, and Ellie crouches over him, trying to pick him up. Man, that was rough.

Anonymoose said:
the horse! they borrowed it when they were at the powerplant i think? Callus was its name

Right. Tommy let them take it and Nebulousl never asked the horses' name so Ellie named it Callus.
