I never met my father, so usually this day is really hard for me
fortunately, I didn't even know about it until about an hour ago when I saw it on the holiday list (I always check the daily holidays, to see what's being celebrated), and also I've not seen many advertisements for fathers day things- just some shoes

They don't get as much candy & flowers as mothers do on Mothers' Day; or maybe even as many Hallmark cards.
