Hate tomatos love ketchup

Are you one of these people? It annoys, no it confuses the crap out of me when I find people that love something like ketchup that has tomatos in it but they won't eat tomatos by itself.





Your thoughts?
 
Tomatoes and tomato ketchup are two completely different things. Mayonnaise for example, made properly is 95% vegetable oil, but you wouldn't go and drink a glass of veg oil, would you?

A tomato is simply just that, a tomato. Ketchup, however, has a variety of ingredients:



Ketchup (or Catsup) (American English and Canadian English) or tomato sauce (Commonwealth English) is a sweet-and-sour condiment typically made from tomatoes, vinegar, sugar or high-fructose corn syrup, and an assortment of vegetable seasonings and spices such as onions, allspice, cloves, cinnamon, garlic, and celery. Therefore, it does not surprise me at all that people who hate tomatoes like ketchup.

I dislike tomato's because of their texture. But if you think about it Tomato Sauce doesn't really taste like tomatoes.

Yes. Ketchup does not taste like a raw tomato... at all.
