Have you ever gotten frostbite?

No I never had frostbite, but I’ve come close a few times when I was young. I remember waiting for the bus in the mornings or coming back from school.
My feet would get soaked from stepping in the snow, and I’d stand there until the bus came, hardly moving, which made it worse. It would feel like there was almost no sensation in my hands and feet and very red ...until warmed up at home.
I know it’s not frostbite, but I can’t imagine how much worse it would feel or how much it would hurt if it were.
