I've seen a lot of videos where pets take so much care of the babies of their owners. How do you feel about it? Is it safe to have pets around your babies? Will you allow pets near your babies? I'm asking these two questions because one might feel it's safe but still, they will be hesitant to let them be near their babies all the time.

Although some animals are gentle, are loving and super friendly, they should be supervised around babies.

For an example a cat might curl up and sleep on a baby's face. The cat might think its cuddling with the baby but its actually suffocating that baby.

We always had pets when raising our kids, they were never left alone with the kids.
I love them to death but can't be 100% trusted around them.

We didn't keep dogs or cats around my kids when they were babies. My daughter was pretty allergic to cats when she was little. Her face would break out in rashes, so it just wasn't an option back then.

We didn't get a pet until our daughter was 2 years old...it was her potty training gift! I wouldn't have wanted one around her before that time though. Too risky.

Personally, I don't mind having my dog around my baby because my dog is part of my family. He's a very gentle dog and he looks after my boys very well. If you train your pets well, they will behave well around kids.

I don't have kids though I have had kids/babies around my cat Barb and she is actually amazing around kids/babies. She's a pretty chill cat to begin with and I'll be honest, I have yet to hear her hiss. She is such a loving cat and she is so calm so it helps when having my friend over who has a baby and smaller kids.
