Ever see some really inactive members come on for one day and post shit like this? And than go inactive for another 3-6 months before coming on and giving an update people could care less about?

Hey guys,

After a long time, I am finally back. Hope to be active once again! See you around the forum.

I'm actually quoting another member off of another forum. But I what I will say to this comment is this:

Bull fuck'n shit. No you're not, LOL.

Ever see a topic like this? What do you think?

Are your thoughts the same as mine?

I think its common in all forums. But seriously? They've already had an introduction. Its like an attention getter. Why not leave an update in the introduction they posted a year ago before they went dormant?

Are they just needing to validate that the community was just as friendly than when they left?

A friendly hello to old friends is okay by me. Perhaps their intentions really are to become more involved, but a lot of the time they never commit to their promises of being active again. Oh well, life happens.

Sometimes life can get busy or you stop using the internet so much. I've been away from Off Topix 3 or 4 times for a few months and then come back for a little more. It's not really a bad thing, isn't it good that they still remember your website after 3-4 months and still come back, even if it's only for a little amount of time? :P
