Not sure about how the Switch operates but with the Xbox and PlayStation consoles, you're able to set a status to either show up as being "busy" or appear as being offline. Do you ever use this?

I never bother. If I'm that bothered about someone seeing me online, I can just go offline. I don't mind people seeing when I'm online :)

No, I've never used it. @Ash: Do you?
I do actually. Sometimes when I'm playing games but can't be bothered to play with some else, I just appear offline so I don't get spammed with invites.

Wish the PC at work had this so the boss wouldn't know what I was doing. lol

Steam I do, I set myself to be invisible :) Xbox for PC, I leave it as it is and the stats comes online than offline.

I do this on Steam sometimes if I'm having a hard time getting a game to run, and I don't want to annoy my friends with constant "apathy is now playing X" notifications lmao. Otherwise I don't bother with status' too much.

I often don't worry about it. I have no gamer friends to see my lack of in game achievements lol

what's your steam name then? I add you and then send 600 PMs a day while you are gaming :P

I sometimes use it on my Steam account when I don't want to get disturbed. But generally, I use it very rarely as I don't mind having my friends inviting me to play. That's why I've added them at the first place!

If someone is online that I don't quite like that sends me spam notifications, yes, I go offline.

I do it sometimes if I do not want to disturb. Some students of mine do this when having classes online. I just ignore it.
