Anyone ever read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series of books by Douglas Adams? Hilarious.....

It's all about the destruction of the earth to make way for a cosmic by-pass. Ford Prefect (an alien hitchhiker) saves his friend Arthur Dent, and together with Jillian (another earthling) 2 mice, Zaphrod Beeblebrox (president of the galaxy) and a manic-depressive robot named Marvin, they travel the galaxy trying to find the question to the ultimate answer.

So long and thanks for the fish

I'm sure everybody will know it when I ask: What's the answer to life the universe and everything? - even Google knows

How about heading over to a pub and having a round of Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters.

He may have gotten the Earthian name wrong, but that dude really knows where his towel is.

I love that series. God. Digital watches. So honest. It's like the Bible for people who wonder how we got here. The humour is a bit hard to get at times, it's sometimes very subtle and sometimes very obvious. The movie isn't bad either (Alan Rickman!), but the books are definitely worth a read as well.

Don't Panic.

I love these books. Tried so hard to make them our studied book for english class, but it's so chaotic that theres no themes or anything. XD

Yeah--the whale was best known for smashing into a bowl of petunias--(which actually wasn't a bowl of petunias)

I'm going to a Vogon poetry reading this evening--they're reading that famous poem by Grunthos the Flatulant Ode to a lump of green putty I found in my arm pit one mid-summer morning

Because I meant to edit, but got sidetracked by the phone ringing...... I need to fix that.

That's all right--Marvin went with me to the reading and got the Vogon so depressed, that he broke down in tears, gave up and left.....

I have never read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series of books by Douglas Adams. I'm going to see if I can order the series from Amazon.
