Have you ever been home schooled?

Do you think this is a better alternative than public schools?

Who benefits more? Home schooled kids or public schooled kids?

That depends on the parent(s) I suppose.

But if the children arent involved in church or any other type of social environment, they might not learn the social skills they need.

Also, being home schooled doesn't mean that they don't go outside and play with others...

You aren't allowed to talk during classes, -edit-.

I'm not homeschooled.

I think if someone is homeschooled, that they need to be on a Sports team, or involved with something so they have friends/social skills. Otherwise, when they get out in the real world they won't have any social skills, when the people who attended public school do.

What if they have no neighbors and live out in the country?

Yes there is several children in this world that only learn what their parents tell them and have no interaction with other kids. Thats not a way I would want my child to be brought up personally.

Not necessarily true, I have fine social skills, and I am home schooled.

Like others said, it depends on the parent(s) teaching the child or children. If you start out home schooling, then yeah, you'll need to get your kid some friends, somehow.

Kidding. Nope, never have and never will. Public is good for all reasons.

1. Real teachers, with experience.

2. Social skills (Already mentioned)

3. Learning responsibility.

4. And so much more

1. Not all teachers have the experience to be a great or a excellent teacher...

But they do have to go through years of college and pass all sorts of tests.. Get credentialed.. Attend various workshops / training throughout each and every year they work there.

I'd say they are more qualified than the average parent.
