Do you like forums that have a home page, a portal or something different than the forum index page when you go to their website? Or do you find it a waste of space and you're instantly looking for the "Forum" link when you go to their website?

To be honest I find myself looking for the forum button or link and immediately bypass whatever is on their homepage. If I bookmark the forum I'll make sure to bookmark the direct link to the forum index page so I don't have to see the home page.

Don't care for homepage / portal thing. If I'm looking for a forum, I want to find the forum, nothing else.

Same here. I feel bad bypassing their home page because they put a lot of work into it, but nothing they could put on there really interests me.

They're usually informative, but I find the forums themself much more desirable.
Same here. You can't interact with a static page, but you can interact with people on the forum :computer:

I used to like the front page for forums. Now I find them to be tacky and a bit cluncky to navigate. It's just another deterrent from potential members.
