Ummm. If I had a sister and a bunch of intoxicated guys came into my house and started rounding up everyone but can't find my sister because she's hiding. If they asked where is she, I would probably lie. So that she won't be harmed by these people.



I think Shiro meant that kind of protection.

Little white lies to spare someones feelings is alright. Like telling someone their new haircut looks good or that dress makes them look thin or you were late because you had a flat tire instead of telling them you overslept.

They dont hurt anyone or anything and make situations easier than they could be.



Now if its about something important then honest is the best policy.

Important stuff is important.

Like if I told you one of your two cars had a bomb in it and when you turned the key, it would blow up.. I'd tell you the correct vehicle to drive.



However your new haircut or clothes is simply asking my opinion. What I happen to think may be different than what someone else thinks. I might think your hair looks horrible and your clothes make your butt look big but another person might not. Chances are when you tell someone the truth about your opinion of their appearance they get offended. Best to avoid insulting someone and creating negative feelings with people when you can avoid it.

He asked me to tell them what was great about the neighborhood and living here.. I said its cool and then I went off into everything that is wrong with the area and said Its better to know what you are getting into instead of sugar coating it. and I could see the landlord glaring at me.
