The number of people on our planet has doubled to more than 7 billion since the 1960s and it is expected that by 2050 there will be at least 9 billion of us. Where are we all going to live and how are we going to make enough food and fuel for our ever-growing population? Maybe we can ship everyone off to Mars or start building apartment blocks underground. We could even start feeding ourselves with lab-grown meat. These may sound like sci-fi solutions, but we might have to start taking them more seriously.

Thoughts?

I believe we can handle the population, that’s not the issue funding and building houses is.

Look at the sahara desert for instance that’s space we could use to build and inhabit.

We have tons of space, we just don’t use it wisely.

I said it before and I'll say it again: Humanity is heading for the Soylent Green / Mad Max future.

Humans are narrow-minded selfish creatures who care only about themselves, about satisfying their own needs and desires, blinded by their own greed and unwilling to commit to a change.

Rich people, aka the money hoarders are actually the least of the problem in this equation. They're smart enough not to mindlessly reproduce. It's the poor and uneducated, aka the majority, that are the problem. The less education they have, the poorer conditions they're living at are, the more they reproduce, bringing more and more mouth to feed into this world.

Humans need to stop reproducing. Period.

Lets destroy all of nature and build houses :evillaugh:

Just kidding.

Technically I guess but you’d be surprised how much of nature we’ve already destroyed and we’re not even using it
Good point. Also nothing is alive in the deserts. We could pave over all that I suppose.

There’s loads of room for us and the animals in the desert, even if we only took up a quarter could you imagine how many people we could accommodate there.

Let’s hope they never have a power outage. Air conditioning is a must! Elderly people would be dropping like flies if the power went out.

Desert means plenty of sunlight. Install and use solar panels to power the AC units. Problem solved.

Damn, I would of thought it would of been standard practice over their with the heat and stuff.
I am sure retirement homes and hospitals have them. I am pretty sure they do. :|
