How do you handle a person who is not a good listener?

If could sense that person is not listening, I will just stop talking and do my thing. It will be a waste of time if I continue doing it.
 
I will make the session interactive. I will bring in questions so that the other person can contribute
 
If I noticed that s(he) is not a good listener, I would stop talking and ask him/her some questions and let him/her talk.
