Ever come across a word you are unsure on how to pronounce while reading?

What do you do in that situation?

Are there any words you've been pronouncing wrong in your head for a long time, then you suddenly realized you were wrong when someone else said it?

Lots, especially 'foreign"-influenced words. Voila! is not Viola.

Dictionaries are sometimes helpful; especially online dictionaries that have audio pronunciation examples. :)

I always google a word and find an audio pronunciation of the word if I am unsure.

Back in the day? I'd just skip over the word and not give it much thought.

"Back in the day" if I couldn't spell a word, Mom would automatically say, "Look it up in the dictionary."
....I'd say, "Huh? If I can't spell it, how can I look it up?"
