How do you show support to a family member with an illness?

When my father got sick before, I showed my support by staying beside him. I did not leave him alone, and I let him feel that we were there for him.

I always pray for them and offer my presence to tend to their needs. I have had to spend nights in the hospital with family members who were sick just to show support to them.
