How Many Americans Say They've Tried Weed?

As Oregon becomes the fourth state to make recreational marijuana use legal, 44% of Americans say they have tried marijuana. This is the highest percentage Gallup has found since it began asking the question in 1969. Back then, a mere 4% admitted to having tried it.

It's no wonder the older generation is being asked, begged to stay longer before retiring because these new millenials just get dumber and dumber every day. And by far they are dumbest in higher numbers then any other generation. So yes please keep smoking the weed it just helps me for job security for my personally owned business.

Smoking weed doesn't make you an idiot.. Being an idiot makes you an idiot! I disagree wholeheartedly TL. People drink alcohol and get shit faced all the time, what's the difference with recreational marijuana use? Job security comes with being a hard worker. If you work hard and are self motivated then you should never have a problem regardless of what you do on your free time. That was a bit harsh IMO

Besides thousands of studies showing otherwise that it does ruin motivation and does turn you into a idiot the more heavily you smoke the crap. You can also look at the endless statistics out there that this generation in higher numbers then any in the past is the laziest and least motivated America has ever see. Yes some of that is thanks to my generation being horrible parents but it can't account for all the shear morons from this latest generation out there in the work force. Now just to be clear for some who do not clearly read this I am not saying 100% I am saying a higher amount of lazy idiots then ever before.

Now all that said I am a conservative/libertarian and I think it should be legal. But as I have said many times before the laws are way to weak for the people on these drugs or drinking for that matter that hurt others by driving, etc under the influence need to be much harsher. And anyone having medical conditions because of taking these drugs and alcohol should not be paid for with tax payers money. Then people can smoke and drink there selves into oblivion for all I care!
