How many kids do you get at your door?

How many trick or treaters do you get at your door? Has the count gone up or down in recent years? Or do you live in a hot spot?

Last year I didn't get any kids. I normally get maybe 16-20 kids. We'll see how many I get this year.

There are some kids on my street this year so maybe I'll get some this year. That's why I have some candy, just in case.

It was really windy today in my town, the kind that cuts through you, seem to keep a lot of people inside this year sadly.

I didn't get any this year. It was pouring rain and I don't blame them or not going out in that weather.

I remember the year I went out in the rain, was a very short year in trick or treating for me.

I did the same thing even though my parents warned me that people wouldn't open their door because no one in their right mind would trick or treat getting soaking wet. They were right.

WIth Covide last year, most didn't get anyone. Same again this year. Covide puts people off.

I got a few years ago, when we decorated our home with stuff announcing that we were handing out candies but it's not usual here to do it

One of my co-workers who lives in an apartment complex said she got over 100 kids knocking on her door. She finally had to put an "Out Of Candy" sign on her door and shut off all her lights.

It is sad to say that it is not popular to have this activity in my country. Most of the time, local malls are the ones who organize this to attract kids to visit them with their parents. It is a good marketing strategy.
