How to save gas

Do not backtrack. If you're heading home & you know you need to pick up something from the store or go to the bank, go ahead and stop at the store or bank because it is on the way home. Otherwise, you would be backtracking getting home then having to head back out that way again. I ride with my sister to school, and we usually do a bit of grocery shopping for my mom after school because we pass the store & it is more convenient, ultimately saving us both gas.

Drive slow, go the speed limit, and sparing hit the pedal. On long trips, cruise control helps conserve gas. That's the best I can do.

Good tips.

Also that will help keep you from getting a speeding ticket!

lol fuck that. I had a cop keeping a 6 feet distance between my car and his while he was running my plates. He was looking for an excuse to pull me over. I kept it under the 35 speed limit and just continually went 28 instead.

Why is that a thing?
google says

Traffic violations related to blocking or impeding traffic by not pulling over or driving fast enough. Although it's far more common to be ticketed for speeding, it's also possible to get a citation for driving too slowly. Generally, it's illegal to drive so slowly that you block or impede the normal flow of traffic.

Actually, I was pulled over on the highway for going slow. It was 3 in the morning. There was no traffic at that hour. I had my kids with me, they were fast asleep in the backseat. I had been pulled over 3 more times for speeding and still didn't get a ticket. I fed the officer some bullshit that I was being safe the kids. I think he bought it because he admitted that he had kids himself and agreed that safety should take a priority. So he told me to be safe, didn't write me up, and I was good to be on my way.

They slept through getting pulled over?
