Mine was awesome! Woke up and got ready to go.. My brother picked me up and I road up with him to my grandparents house (they live about 30 minutes away). We sat and visited for a little bit (because we got there early).. Then we all road up with my grandpa the rest of the way.

We got there and most of the family was there. Maybe 30+ adults and and a bunch of teenagers/kids. We all sat around visiting. I made sure to mingle with everyone. After I got a couple drinks in me, it was easier. Lol.. Dinner was ready a couple hours later.

We had all the traditional fixings and a few extra things.. I ate so much my sides hurt. I felt like I was going to explode!

After dinner I went to sit on the couch to digest and watch tv for a while. We were watching football for a while, then the some of the women took the TV over. They wanted to watch some of their favorite American Idol clips my aunt had saved on her DVR/t-vo thing.

I went out and road the quads / 4 wheelers / atv's / whatever you call them. My uncle has a lot of land so I was offroading all over the place. I almost flipped going up a steep hill but luckily I didnt.

Me and my cousin were racing at one point. I kicked his ass!

After that I went back in and had some desert. Sampling a few different pies.

Then went back to mingle with the fam for a bit. Once it got dark me and my bro went out on the quads again (they have headlights on them) which was fun. I never did it in the dark before.. We did that for about half hour.. Went back in and my grandma looked tired and ready to go.. But I know she wouldnt say so because she is too polite for that. So I said that I was tired and wanted to go.. She seemed relieved to hear me say that. So we said our goodbyes and headed home. We made it to grandparent's house and said good night. On the way home from there we stopped by my brother's friend's parent's house to pick up my brother's friend. Their little thanksgiving get-to-gether was still going on so they invited us in and the grandma insisted we come in and eat, so we did.

I finally made it home at around 9:45pm.. Stuffed to death and tired from a long day.

This was probably one of the better thanksgiving's Ive had in the past few years.

That's great to hear you had a great time Nebulous. I can't wait for Christmas to come to see the family once again. Are you doing any shopping tomorrow?

Thanks.. No I'm not going shopping.

Don't wanna try your luck on Black Friday?

And I just wanted to add that I love quadding at night. It is so fun.. But not quite as fun as snowmobiling at night.

I can't wait for it to snow. It's so late this year!

That Thanksgiving sounds awesome.

Mine was the opposite of that. I woke-up completely sick and miserable this morning. My head was all stuffed up and my throat hurt and I felt like crap and my family all went to relatives house while I stayed behind, home alone all day eating nothing.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that.

Sounds like fun, everyone. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving over here in Australia, so it's a bit foreign to me. In fact, I don't even know what Thanksgiving is and why it's celebrated...

Nice to see that most of you had a good time.

Watched old B&W Fred Astair movies until time to leave. We went to Mom's and visited with sisters, neices, nephews, and other assorted relations. My son called--he had to film in Nashville, so wasn't home. After dinner, we just visited around. My sister and I worked on some garden plans (amateur landscape designers) and the kids played games.

Went home, watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and had an early bedtime......

Sam--The Pilgrams left England to seek religious freedom. When they finally reached New England, several were sick. Many died that first year. In the spring, they were able to make friends with some Indians. These Indians were able to tell them how to plant corn, and other things they needed to know to survive in the new world.

That fall, they had a harvest feast to give thanks to God for their survival and the bounty they had been given. That was the first Thanksgiving. George Washington (as first president of the US) declared that all American should set aside a time of giving thanks. Abraham Lincoln made it a national holiday, but it wasn't until Franklin Roosevelt that he set a specific day for the national celebration. Hope that clears some of your questions up.

Mine was pretty good actually. Went to my Aunt's house around 4. There were three little 1 year olds there, which was annoying at first but as the night went on and they got past their bedtime, they became hilarious. One kid kept drinking seltzer. Every time she took a sip, she cringed (you know, seltzer sucks

). But then she would reach her hand out and complain for more. It was pretty funny.

Mine was pretty decent. Watched some dvds at my mom's I hadn't watched yet.

Glad to hear you all had a pretty good Thanksgiving!
