What has been your most expensive vet bill ever? What was wrong with your pet?

we had a dog, she had to undergo surgery to remove a blood clot. the bill came out to over $13.688. took us a long time to pay it off. unfortunately she didnt live long after that.

Nearly $14,000?

Wasn't expecting a number that large.

My Miniature Pinscher Louie has had $4,370 worth of vet bills:

Lateral Luxating Patella Surgery - $1,620

Cancerous tumor removal with partial amputation to right hind foot - $2,750

about $us 5000 on my last cat Tiffany during her last year she had diabetes and it was causing a few other problems, had to give her injections twice a day before she became too ill and had to be PTS

i had her cremated and some of her ashes turned into a glass paperweight

she was worth every cent and i would pay it again in a heartbeat

Personally I never had to take a pet to the vet. Guess I've been blessed with healthy ones. :dontknow:

What about getting them spayed and or neutered? What about vaccines every year? What about dental procedures? Have you not done any of these?

Well yeah, that... But I was talking about dealing with diseases and surgical things and whatnot.

wonder how much for just clipping the nails lol

I used to do that myself, easier on dogs/cats with clear nails though. Gotta be careful when they have dark colored nails and you cannot see the nerve ending thingy.

That's great that you have such a big heart and want the best for all animals out there.
