Temerit said:Humans are superior. Don't understand the logic behind the question really. Humans can use tools, have extremely far developed symantic memory pathways, we need only two limbs for walking, we have a highly developed immune system and can eat a wide range of foods.
even though I'm slightly confused about what immune systems have to do with intelligence
If we were stripped of all our modern technology and given basic survival skills. Animals would come out top every time.
It has also been proven that animal's have good memories like us
Like otter's who use rocks to smash open oysters.
Plus, most animals have a varied diet, we're only different as we cook ours and prepare it in different ways.
If anybody's going to bring up intelligence I'm going to make a reference to So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish! Don't force me
Shall I begin the (lengthy) list of animals who can do all of these things that you attribute only to humans?? What makes you think we have the market cornered on the things you list?
Temerit said:Not at all actually. How do you figure this? With a mere spear, a human can fight off a vast majority of the species in the animal kingdom. If you think animals would come out on top every time, how do you think we got into the position we are in today? Take into account also that we started out in Africa, the most hostile continent on the planet.
Temerit said:We have a much more developed semantic memory pathway, used for Involves words, symbols, etc.
Short-term and working memory, requires strong intrinsic motivation, need big picture/global to aid recall organize material again and again, use spaced learning, peer teaching, and cliffhangers.
Temerit said:Instinctual.

Dum dum dum! *grabs book.*Temerit said:Humans are far more intelligent than any other animal.
Dragon of Darkness said:What about Dolphin's? They're supposed to have a similar intellect as humans.
For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much - the wheel, New York, wars and so on - whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man - for precisely the same reasons.
to grassland/forest/wasteland etc, millions of us would be picked off before we could do something. Spears may work on some animals but not all, preditors have different modes of attacking prey (i.e. stealth attacks). In some situations spears are of no use at all. Granted, we may have only got how we are by outsmarting the rest of the animal kingdom, not by batteling our way to the top of the food chain, like every other preditor does.
We play god towards the world
