What do you think about “hustle culture”, by that I mean: only having hobbies if you can make money off of them?

If that's what a person wants to do more power to them. Me as someone that knows only the ins and out of my life has no reason to judge how the next person makes their money or what they choose to do.

I think making money off a hobby sucks the joy out of it because when your earnings dip, you aren't enjoying it as much.

It is a good way to end up losing interest and eventually hating your hobby..

This is one of the reasons why I never went into web or gfx design as anything other than a hobby. I appreciate that the people I have made stuff for think I am good enough at it to earn money.. but I really enjoy the creative aspect of it and that is all the reward I need.

I also love technology, especially pcs and mobile devices.. and while that is a hobby of mine also, especially where hacking is concerned, I would accept payment if someone asked me to fix their device if they had a problem. But I would still leave the riskier stuff for myself.
