Why shouldn't guns be illegal?

Because prohibition doesn't work, plain and simple. And if anyone would like to challenge this, then please by all means do so.

If guns are illegal, then only criminals will have them. I mean, you don't really think criminals will have over their weapons do you?

All of the law-abiding citizens will hand over their guns though. Rendering them virtually defenseless against robbers.

Sorry for ranting, I get worked up when people are for banning guns.

Back to the original question… I was actually wondering about the suicide rate in Iceland as often northern countries with long periods of darkness during winter have high suicide rates. As it turns out that their suicide per capita vs the USA is lower so the guns aren't used that way either.

The Icelandic people are very strong, it is the only country in Europe where they put rejected austerity, and put their Prime Minister on trial for bankrupting their country and held bankers accountable for their mismanagement of their country. They told all the bold holders to go fuck themselves and despite all the doomsday warnings have survived and are coming out the other side of the financial crisis better off than all the countries who accepted austerity and agreed to pay back bond holders.

It is also an amazing place to see, if you ever get a chance I highly recommend it. In your lifetime, you need to swim once in the Blue Lagoon.
