Describe your Ideal Waiter/Waitress...

Here's mine:
*Genuinely friendly, not phony
*Contains good menu knowledge, can make recommendations (if I haven't ate there before)
*Checks back only every so often. Nothing is worse than having a waiter/waitress that is CONSTANTLY asking how you're doing or refilling your already full drink

The main one the last one. I cannot stand a waitress who ignores me and at the same time, I cannot stand a waitress who wont leave me alone. Gotta have balance.

This. I don't mind if a waiter/waitress checks back so long as it's for a reason (meaning they're watching my water cup going dry or if I'm eyeing them noticeably, trying to get their attention. Once or twice to order drinks/bring appetizers, once to bring entrees, once to ask if everything is okay, another time to refill drinks, and then to bring the check, so like...4-5 times is reasonable.)
