Have you ever neglected your pet's health because taking them to the veterinarian costs too much money? Maybe you had a pet euthanized because it was a cheaper alternative?

Do you think pet owners who cannot afford their pet's potential medical bills are irresponsible people?

Irresponsible, and potentially criminal.

But at some point in the animal's life, the cost of care can become prohibitive, and even if it is not, the quality of the pet's life and their right to be free from continuous pain is something that has to be taken into consideration.

No.

No. I have, however, had pets euthanized because there was no other alternative. My greyhound had cancer and was suffering. My cat had feline leukemia and she was suffering. They both had no 'quality of life' except pain and suffering.

Yes. When you own an animal it's your responsibility to take care of said animal.
