If you caught someone stealing from you?

If you caught a friend or a stranger stealing from you, how would you address the issue?

There's no hypothetical about it. I have caught people stealing from me.
It really depends on who they are... if it's a friend I'm usually very hurt and make it clear how messed up it was.
if it's someone else's +1... well I make it clear that person is never to return, recover the item, and usually imply far graver fates than me being cross should it happen again.
one time someone tried to resist but I've got crazy grip strength... they let go soon enough.

Same as what's been said above, it would depend on the person, the situation, the items, and so on. More than likely it would be the end of their ability to enter my house, but depend on the severity it could be the end of a friendship or the end of me talking to a family member if it's family.

Haha very funny. But it's true though. I can hold lots of stuff by holding it with my fingertips. Including 12packs of soda without using the handle. Comes in handy when building stuff.
