I DID invent something.
A unique recipe for a type of thermite. Based on ingredients you can buy at a "big box" type store. Based on a dream I had about working with Paracelsus in his laboratory some five hundred years ago.
As far as I could tell from looking through what is available about "real" thermite, this combination of ingredients is at least rare, if not totally unique.
As far as the reaction temperature, the original gets over 4000 degrees. I don't think this one gets as hot, but it does produce thermite type sparks, and it has exceeded the range of every thermal measuring device I can find within my budget. Also, like the original, the reaction is VERY exothermic, and, once lit, you ain't stopping it until it runs out of fuel.
This is what I do. I read, I write, I study alchemy, and I drink. Then tomorrow, modify the order, and repeat the process.
PS: somewhere around here there is a photo of what about half a pound of my thermite mixture does to a mobile phone that REALLY pissed me off that is sitting on top of it.
In short, there wasn't much left of it and it was barely recognizable as having been a phone when the fire went out.

I used to invent all sorts of things... mostly weird food combos. I also invent worlds a lot, since I'm a writer? x3

I’d invent an AI (not hostile) that would do anything and know everything about me or the world. It looks like a human and is also something like ChatGPT or Sora that can generate free entertainment. Best part is, I would ask it
“Hey AI, is @EllieCat a forum member of Off Topix?”
“Maybe, but @Nebulous made a deal with @EllieCat to not be a forum member”

I'd invent a wallet that replenishes itself every time you pull money out and can never be empty.
