Funny! My son lives there; he loves the countryside....the parts that most tourists never see.

I think it could be possible. A vacation there would probably cost you about $4000 all together (I think).

It's not so much the money as it's me being terrified to fly. That's the major hurdle to overcome which probably is not happening any time soon.

I was just on a couple flights in April (4 hours each way). I just downloaded some shows on my iPad and watched tv the whole flight. I was there before I knew it. Easy peezy.

My brother is the same way. He'd rater travel by train for 3 days instead of getting on a plane for 3 hours. Personally I don't have time to waste like that on my vacation. I need to get there, and maximize my time there before I have to get back home & go back to work. I'll admit I do get a little nervous sometimes on a plane but its not so debilitating that my whole world is going to crumble and I'll die. lol

I want to visit India. It's a big country with a lot going on so originally my plan was to pick any tourist-friendly place. Not picky.

That was until I found out about the Bhadariya Library, situated beneath the sands of the Thar Desert in Rajasthan. If I see nothing else, I have got to see this place for myself.
