I would take sunglasses, a hammock, a good book, sunscreen and a timer to see how fast Bear will build a shelter, find some clean water, make a nice dinner from whatever he’d find around and get help.

The best part is that he’d gladly do all that as a fun challenge while I blissfully read “The Way of Zen”.

That is a hard question. Whenever I think of an "island", paradise and vacation comes to mind. But if I'm being marooned. I can't look at it that way. It would have to be with someone who has the know how and the drive to survive. Perhaps they can teach me a few things so I don't die from exposure or starvation.

Yeah, you would want to be with someone knowledgeable on getting out. However, if not, and you had the ways to survive awhile, I suppose you'd want someone you could be romantic with.
