Well, my cat, Thomas, is 17 and a bit now. He's very old, and he's been getting skinny lately. Today especially he just seems kind of out of it...I'll make sure he's got enough to eat and such, but I can't help but feel concerned. I haven't known a world without Thomas

The best thing to do would to be to take him to the vet's, just to make sure he is all alright, he's quite old, but it's best to be safe.

Just a few days ago he seemed normal. It's quite hot now, and he's sleeping on the laundry floor (because it's tiles, and cool). I'll see about taking him to be vet when my parents get home. I am kind of afraid of what might happen there, because the last time I went to the vet, I found out one of my rats had cancer, and I had to have him put down

It could be the heat, you never know, my dog didn't eat as much as he used to when it was hot over the last few weeks, like i said, it's always best to be safe than sorry.

Yeah, hopefully. Thanks.

Make sure he has plenty of water to drink. Keep an eye on him and and keep him cool.

He's still asleep in the laundry, and I gave him water (which he's ignoring). He must just be tired...

Definitely let the vet take a look at him. As you probably know, Thomas is elderly, so keep that in mind. I don't want to worry you, but you need to get him checked out. Hope the trip to the vet is good & Thomas is fine.

No matter how well he is taken care of or how many times you take him to the vet, he is old and nature will run its course eventually. Just make sure he is comfortable.
