I'm not against cheap bread but I really love the good stuff. But the thing I wouldnt skimp on is protein. The cheapest foods you can eat are mostly carbs. Look to satisfying proteins and fats instead. They cost a little more than carbs but you’feel better if you shift away from carbs and towards protein and fat.
I’d also move towards fresh foods and away from processed foods. I'm not sure that has anything to do with skimping but I know you'll feel better.
