In touching distance of a job then it gets snatched away

The manager has been in touch with my agency and they say because I have a weeks holiday in 3 weeks I can't have the job, It's not acceptable .... FFS!!!!



I signed off with the job center this morning because my agency told me I had it.

Now I may have to wait 6 weeks to be able to sign back on again!!



I just rang the job center but they are now closed till Monday..... My life is a bloody mess at the moment...

I would say take the job. The festival will come again another time. Secure yourself a job then you can afford to go to other events that come to town.

That's stinks but I can see their point. Why have a new person start and then they have to leave for three weeks. Did they know this up front or were they told this once you knew you had the job?



I also agree that securing a job is more important than the festival right now.

My agency already knew, I don't understand why they'd put me foward for a job and tell me that I would get it when they didn't actually know :/
