Ineffectiveness of zombies

Me and my grandfather were discussing about zombies and how they couldn't do much on their own without the virus/bacteria/parasites/fungi's influence because they are rotting and weakening and zombies would freeze in the winter because of the stagnant blood in them, which would act like water and freeze. what's your view on zombies behavior and function
 
Zombies would freeze in the winter in very cold climates, probably not here in California though. :P

Yeah, they'd just have heat-related issues as opposed to cold. Cracked did a really good article on this.
