Interesting, did they say why the inmates are throwing burning debris out of the building or what they're chanting?
 
I think we're missing some info here, whats the cause and why are people bringing their kids to the scene and chanting with the inmates?

Pretty much always the same. They want special treatment for breaking the law. They don't get that prison isn't supposed to be fun and comfortable. It's a punishment.
In late December and early January, dozens of inmates were transferred from the St. Louis City Justice Center after two separate disturbances. Officials have said inmates were upset about conditions in the jail amid the pandemic.

 
And this is what they get from de-funding the police. I feel like a lot of people don't take prisons seriously for that reason. All they get chirruped is that prisons are bad, he/she/they were just misunderstood, etc. Prison is supposed to be hard because it's supposed to deter you from breaking the law again.
