In your opinion, do multiracial children have a harder time at being accepted by society and their peers?

My girlfriend who is white married a man of color and they have two beautiful 6 year old twins. The neighbor next door to them calls the girls wiggers and won't allow her children to play with them. The neighbors daughter (who is the same age and attends the same school) had a birthday party at the house. The daughter asked if my friends twins could come to the party and the little girl was told that no wiggers were allowed in their house. I swear, I feel like smacking this woman in her face!

There's nothing wrong with multiracial children. There's plenty of them in my collage, and I talk to quite a few of them. You stand them in a line and their just like the person next to them.



That woman should get to know your freinds family before making unfair comments like that, Jazzy. It;s not fair one the children of families who hold negative multiracial views, I'm sure theres lessons about it. Maybe the woman should be forced to be go to them

Both my friend and her husband are police officers and this woman knows them. Bet your butt they would help her in a second but for this woman to teach her children to be racists is just unbelievable to me. These are just innocent little girls and they don't deserve to be treated this way. Just proves racism is still alive and well and will always be that way.

Well Im basically white and my daughters mom is mexican so I guess my daughter is interracial. Nothing wrong with it.. People are people.

I got no issue with this sort of thing. Hell. My half sister and half brother are both part Mexican. And Jazzy, sounds like someone needs to knock that lady in the face with a Shovel or something.

I'd say yes, multi-racial children have it a bit harder being accepted. There is one kid that is white/black mixed at my school, and even though he acts a little out-there to begin with, he is sometimes pushed around (jokingly by friends and not-so-jokingly by everyone) about being mixed. I think if you have a strong personality, then you'll be accepted. But if you try and fit in, then it's harder. (I'd say he's been trying to do the latter all throughout high school.)



As far as interracial marriage, it surprises me when I see people of pretty different skin tones being married, but I guess I'm all for it on a personal level, so it's more of a shock than really a prejudice or anything like that.
