Serious question. I need some answers for my speech.

Why does society sometimes frown upon interracial relationships?

Because in society, there are sometimes bigots who see race as something more than the alteration of very few genes.

Some people believe in keep their heritage / race / culture pure.

Doesnt apply to me though. I was already a mut and I mixed with someone of a whole different race than me and my daughter is an even bigger mut than I am.

We like being a mixture of several things.. But it would be kind of nice to know exactly where you came from and who you are.

Thanks guys, really helpful. Need to get this 6+ minute seminar completed by Wednesday.

I concur 100% mate.

That may well be the case and I think that religion has an awful lot to answer for in many ways, but perhaps that's for a different thread.

Religious debates aren't allowed. Don't even bother to start one up.

I just need some reasons why interracial couples face difficulty because of society. Why does society do this and how?

I agree with the above.

But I want to add that there's a lot more negativity towards a couple with a white girl. If a white guy brings home a black girl for example, only the actual racists are going to mind it, but if the girl's white it's a whole other story. A lot of guys get the feeling the girl was stolen from them and that the black guy doesn't have the right to date her.

Once you go black, you never go back is an incorrect statement anyways.

Isn't it If you go mac, you never go back?

Anyway, we're getting off topic here.

My girlfriend who is white married a man of color and they have two beautiful 6 year old twins. The neighbor next door to them calls the girls wiggers and won't allow her children to play with them. The neighbors daughter (who is the same age and attends the same school) had a birthday party at the house. The daughter asked if my friends twins could come to the party and the little girl was told that no wiggers were allowed in their house. I swear, I feel like smacking this woman in her face!

Both my friend and her husband are police officers and this woman knows them. Bet your butt they would help her in a second but for this woman to teach her children to be racists is just unbelievable to me. These are just innocent little girls and they don't deserve to be treated this way. Just proves racism is still alive and well and will always be that way.
