Off Topix: Embrace the Unexpected in Every Discussion

Off Topix is a well established general discussion forum that originally opened to the public way back in 2009! We provide a laid back atmosphere and our members are down to earth. We have a ton of content and fresh stuff is constantly being added. We cover all sorts of topics, so there's bound to be something inside to pique your interest. We welcome anyone and everyone to register & become a member of our awesome community.

If you have an introductions forum in your online community, where do you position it? Do you place it first thing at the top, after the announcements forum (before the other forums), or at the bottom of the page, after all the other forums? :|

I like it near the top,

easy to find for brand new members wanting to introduce themselves

and

highly visible to existing members (hopefully they'll stop in to welcome that brand new member).

Near the top. It makes it easy for new members to find so that they can introduce themselves to the community.
