I hear a lot of bad stuff in cow milk. Is feta a better alternative? (Not to product place but) I enjoy the feta spinach thin crust pizza from Dominos and was wondering.

I actually don't know. I always use cow dairy and am a big milk drinker.

It was in Food Inc something in cow milk that makes it worse then human milk for humans.

Feta cheese is easier to digest than cow's milk products because it's made from sheep's or goat's milk, which the body processes more easily. It also has less lactose and is usually lower in fat. It's lower in calories compared to many other cheeses, and its fermentation process can promote gut health, but it can be high in sodium so maybe for some people not the best choice .

I just love the taste of Feta in many dishes besides pizza!

(y) what feta do you usually get (More like find :p )

Some are firm, perfect for crumbling into salads or cooking. Others are softer, often more spreadable, and better for mixing into dips. Some varieties are mild, while others bring more saltiness or spiciness. There’s so much variety depending on the region. For example, the firmer one from the Epirus region is great for salads because it holds its shape better.

I don't have any in the refrigerator right now, so I don't know the brand. It's whatever Costco sells in their 'deli' section & it's already crumbles.

When I buy feta from Costco, I get the Dodoni brand. It comes in a 1.5kg tin here and is the only option they carry. I never buy feta from a deli unless it’s sealed, as they often don’t sell what they claim. Dodoni is from the Epirus region in Greece and is a well-known brand internationally. While it’s not the best, it’s still much better than any feta I’ve tried from other countries.
There’s another brand I occasionally get, also from Epirus region, called Epirus. I prefer it more , but it’s harder to find. That one is made entirely from goat’s milk.

I don't think that's the brand that we get here. It's crumbles packaged in a sealed plastic container. Gonna have to check next time I'm in Costco. :)

I searched for crumbled feta online and came across two brands There . President Crumbled Feta Cheese and Athenos Crumbled Feta Cheese. If it’s either of these, honestly, they’re not real feta, they're just white cheese. And both are with cows milk

Try to find feta that’s stored in brine, it keeps the flavour much better and doesn’t spoil as quickly.

Looking at the pics online, it looks like that brand I've been getting is President Crumbled Feta Cheese. :cautious:
