Is it okay to be cheap?

Just depends. Sometimes you can't afford any other way.
Sometimes you like to spend a little more time to price-shop.
Sometimes you really like being frugal & not a spendthrift.
Sometimes you like being extravagant.
Sometimes it's important to spend a little extra for quality.
:dontknow:

Of course! I make practically nothing right now, so I have no choice but to search out the cheapest of everything. I go to Sam's Club for cheap gas, I go to Aldi or Fry's (Kroger) for groceries and I bargain hunt like crazy for anything I need. It's a necessity for me, but even if it weren't, I'd still deal hunt.

I try to find the best deals possible, however if being cheap in certain aspects of life results in me being uncomfortable or unhappy, I'll fork out the cash to prevent that from happening.

Depends on your circumstances and what exactly it is that we're being cheap with. I love looking out for the yellow reduction labels at the supermarket, because who doesn't love a bargain?! However, things like furniture for the house, I would much rather buy more expensive. There's an old saying buy cheap, buy twice and I can definitely vouch for that from past experiences!

I got a good deal on some expensive furniture when I moved because it bought it all on Black Friday :D

I try to spend more money on myself than I spend on my partner.

Indeed. Although lately the sales haven't been that great in the past couple years.

Greedy :p

Sales dropped on Black Friday because a lot of people think they are not getting value at the end of the day. That is something that is a bit strange, I must say.

Let me ask you this... Am I a cheapskate because I would rather make things myself or repair them to save a bunch of money?
I'm sorta converting the money saved into time but for me it's more I'd rather not have them be what I rely on... when I can just rely on myself.

There's nothing wrong with being cheap, and it's a great thing, IMO.
