So I called the police station today to see what courses I would need to take to become a Criminal Profiler. He basically told me to go in any field I want and when I graduate that field to give the police a resume since only 1 or 2 people of a class of 22 students in Police Foundation courses get accepted to become a cop. Either way he told me to get an education then aply. After I'm in the police field it's all about getting promoted and since there isn't much jobs in Criminal Profiling the chances of me getting promoted to that are pretty slim.

Anyways I want to know if it's worth going to school for psychology. The only down falls is that I'll be 2 hours away from my parents, family and my boyfriend. I don't know anyone where I'm going but one girl and her and I rarely get along she's very annoying and too dependent, plus I'll have to stay in residence. So I don't know if it's worth going for psychology if I can just take a course here where I live, still work at the College and go for Social working. I'm just still really iffy on what I want to do plus I don't want to make the wrong choice and regret it.

So do you think going to school is worth it or not?

(Oh and my parents are paying for most of everything however for spending more and luxuries it's my money that I have to spend which I understand.

If you pick in taking Psychology, going away from home is all part of the experience, I moved at least 200+ miles from home to go to University, and I thought I'd be stuck alone for all of the year. But I've made plenty more friends from different countries and backgrounds. Also, staying in residence is a part of the experience as well, you may make good friends out of people who you may live with

It all depends on which course you find interesting out of the two. Research the two courses and where they are, make a decision on how interesting the courses are the how well the Collage's do.

Just to become a profiler, probably not. If you want to actually study psychology for... well, the psychology, I guess... then it's certainly worth it. (Unless you want to do something else more...)

I would say go for whatever you feel deep down is best for you.

Well Criminal profiler isnt a easy job, and than that getting selected is much more difficult.. Take a right decision.
