Is this glass half empty or half full?

Since this commonplace philosophical question contains far more than meets the eye, please explain your choice.

The forensic person in me doesn't care. Just who drank from the damn glass

Personally, I think it's half full. It's a more optimistic view, in my opinion.

That glass is more than half full.

As for optimism... I don't care for it, does that make me an optimist?

if it was beer id say 'are you drinking that?.....cos its your turn to get a round in'

Technically it's both half empty and half full, so I see it that way.

As Sophia Petrillo's relative said on the Golden Girls Who cares whether the glass is half empty or full? Me? I just drink whatever's left! XD

If the water has been removed from the glass to make it half, then it's half empty.

If it's been added to make it half, then it's half full.

(:

Half empty is not something they say here in my language, so I guess half full? However I usually say something in the likes of there's half of it in it (which doesn't sound this bad in Dutch).

As for the philosophical question, same really, I pick neither since I'm more of a realist than anything... (although most optimists would probably call me a pessimist)

But you can pour something half empty. (The thing you're pouring from, obviously. The thing you're pouring in could be half full.)

That aside... why would anyone even talk about a glass?

I say it's half full not because I'm optimistic but because I don't like water and that is a lot of water. Hahaha but either way it is half full =)
