A fancy term for a reckless way of crossing the road, basically. Have any of you done it, or attempted to do it? I've done it several times where I'm quite good at judging the distance and timing between myself and the incoming vehicle, but I nearly got knocked down one time though

When I was younger, I did it and almost got nailed by car. Was enough to scare me into never doing it again.

I do it sometimes, but I find in usually not anywhere near a road where it feels necessary to jaywalk. The city blocks here in Portland aren't very big in most places and the crosswalks are adequate. I think I did it a lot more when I was younger.

If I can get across and there isn't much traffic, then I'll do it. No harm done.

I've tried to be careful and have tried to learn from my friends mistakes. I have been in some accidents, but none that injured me. A lot of my friends have been in multiple wrecks and it scares me that I could be next. An old friend of mine got hit by a truck jaywalking and broke both of his legs and his left arm. I felt so bad for him. I never want to go through that myself.

Well Ben Woolf from American Horror Story did this, got hit over the head with a car door or something like that and died.

So no I would never suggest doing this.
