Kardashian And Kanye Name Baby North West

US reality television star Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West have named their baby daughter North West.

The unusual moniker is listed on the birth certificate from Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where she came into the world.

West was present for the delivery and the couple are reported to have now left the hospital with their child after welcoming her several weeks early.

The document does not mention a middle name. It also does not list her hair or eye colour or weight.

Some people may have thought the child's first name would start with a K - like her parents and her aunties Kourtney and Khloe.

There was speculation earlier in the week that the pair had named her Kaidence Donda West as a tribute to Kanye's late mother Dr Donda West.

But that did not turn out to be the case.

Kardashian, the 32-year-old star of the TV show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, was reportedly the only one to sign the birth certificate.
