But British troops in Afghanistan may now be fighting each other over a collection of woolly hats made by super-knitter Tiny Selby.
The 50-year-old from Penarth, near Cardiff in Wales, has sent no less than 7,000 colourful beanies to the warzone in the last two years.
She started making 'hats 4 heroes' because she was didn't want the soldiers to get cold on the frontline.
