How do you keep track of your keys, wallet or phone?

Yesterday my husband lost his wallet and was in a panic. The last purchase was made on Friday or Saturday, and we checked online and no other purchases were made. So it wasn't stolen. He hunted around at work and in his trunk and I hunted at home. It wasn't until I went out to get the mail that I saw it on the riding lawn mower seat. Weird spot, but okay, at least it was found!

I always put my purse and keys in the exact same spot in the house. My phone, I will put it in the same spot in the various rooms, so that I can find it easily. I very rarely put it down in a different spot because it would be too easy to lose if it went dead.

What about you?

My keys, cards, etc go in the same exact place, every single time. Without fail. Every single time I put them down it's in the same spot. I'm very OCD about it, I even put them in the same order and in the same orientation, lol. I can't do it any differently, so I've kept them relatively secure for as long as I can remember.

I have a habit of keeping these things in my pant pockets, and I check them regularly to see if they are present in my pant pockets.

My wallet is always in my handbag, which stays in the same spot at home, so it’s never a problem. My phone is usually on the kitchen bench while charging, on the table near the couch, or in my room. I generally know where it is, sometimes I just need to check which of those spots I left it in, but that’s about it.

My keys were always in my handbag, so I never had trouble finding them. But I changed the door before Christmas, and now the front door has a smart lock with fingerprint and keypad access, so I don’t need them anymore. I don’t drive, and the rest of the keys I use around the house are always kept in the same spot.
