So, there was this little girl aged five, who really wanted to finally buy her own doll. She had spared up a good amount of cash from the tooth fairy, Her mother and she went to the local toy store, looking for that one doll she had spares up to. They found it, and it was ready to be bought.

Okay? So the mother could not front the cash for the doll and then take the change to the bank. And the store should have the right to except the form of payment they want.

It's quite a common occurrence. I work in retail, and it's goddamn annoying when someone tries to make a reasonably large purchase (usually a case of beer) in small change, because we have to recount it with them there, and that usually holds up the queue and annoys not only staff, but other customers as well. Additionally, we aren't allowed to keep over a specific amount in the cash register, and if we have a crapton of coins, that means performing cash drops is more irritating, and more time consuming.

So I totally understand the cashier in this instance.
