So I saw the thread on the Shop lifting animal...and it reminded me of a port visit to Jabel Ali, UAE. Since the Navy so frequently stops in Jabel Ali, the natives have taken a liking to the Sailors and their business...even the Klepto's.
As the Sailors come off of the ship to go on Liberty (Free Time), there is this street you must walk down and it enters into a main shopping and food area...Well as soon as you come out of the gate, there is this guy who stands with a Spider Monkey in a vest. As you walk out of the gate, the monkey jumps on your shoulders and starts playing with you and crawls all around you and then the guy says, Picture, CHEEEEESE! Then you take the picture with the monkey and then the monkey jumps down and you see the monkey jet down the street with your wallet... by the time you realize you can't catch the monkey and decide to go back and get the guy...He's already gone!
I've seen it happen to a few people...I don't care wallets in foreign countries!
